Came across a 1971 Green Shield Stamps catalogue (maybe some of you will be old enough as well to remember them!). There's an action man for 3 books, wonder if he came boxed?

Spent many a happy moment sticking the stamps into books and poring over the catalogue to see what goodies we may be allowed to get

saying that, there aren't actually many toys featured.

Very interesting. I would have been tempted by the loop the loop. The highlight for me was sticking the stamps in. The catalogue was kept well away from the kids lol

I had many happy hours looking through the green shield catalogue. the embassy catalogue come a close second. but none compared to the littlewoods with weekly 10p payments and astronomical interest rates

The big green shield stamps were cool.

OH Now I know what mum got with the green shield stamps. I loved being tucked up tight with sheets, blanket and my candle wick bedspread lol

My Dad run the littlewoods and then Janet Fraser catalogues and I loved the winter edition arriving so I could look through the toys and as I grew up it was toys and lingerie lol
