Thats all very sound-advice chaps well done... just pulled my Ski Patrol out of his box & sure enough Alan Hall had done his cross stretch on my Skis...If yours are like this they can be easily repaired & made to look like new again.
In my case (I play Guitar) I have long fingernails.. (just ask the wife then) use your nails to gently prise the springs back together into shape.. only do about 5mm each time & repeat this along the stretched part of the spring. I was surprised how malleable they are.
Also, these 1st issue Skis are so well made & designed, even have the snow grooves underneath & the little tips on the top... mine are marked Hasbro Japan.. (maybe GI Joe ?)
If you place your Skis in a display box like I do, you make wish to wrap the bindings in a small piece of clear cello, thus preventing any metal stain from creeping into your lovely white snow suit.
ps. Be CAREFUL with those Ski Pole sticks... they are so delicate & fragile, I can hardly bear to touch them fearing they may snap... how any of these survived childplay defeats me.
