Action man now has moving eagle eyes. At the touch of a button his eyes move from left to right, missing nothing...
V.A.M.E there is only one VT
It was great to meet up with everybody again and to meet some new faces. It wan't long enough though! It went by so fast that I was on my way home before I realised that not only had I not taken any photos, I hadn't even taken my camera to the meet
It was fascinating to hear Dave telling about how the artwork was done 'in the olden days' Makes you wonder if any of his originals are in a store-room somewhere in an old print-shop Great to see his original artwork as well - the dabs of paint around the edge where he mixed his colours seemed to add to the magic somehow.
And it's not every day that you get to gently rib the Action Man creative team about not being able to produce the Horse Artillery set. I asked Bob if he thought he could make that set with the technology available today and he said he thought they could and that he was intrigued by 3D printing. If only we could get the team back together for one more set, using today's manufacturing capabilities
A big thanks to Bob & Dave for taking us on a nostalgia trip; to Fiona for bringing the museum exhibits and copies of the 'Palitoy news' (still not sure about Action Man in 'swimming trunk order'; thanks to Mike for organising it all and to Jess for the catering (best cup of tea I've had in months ); to the exhibitors who brought a fantastic array of VAM & TG cards, customs figures & vehicles and to everyone who came.
What if the Hokey Cokey is actually what it is all about?

I just arrived home after a greaaaaaaaaaaaaat weekend in Quorn. Thanks to all Action Man enthousiasts for organising the VAME 4 meeting. I had a great time. It was so nice to meet some of you again and get to know some new members as well. I thank everyone who bought from my white boxes . I hope you'll enjoy dressing up your Action Men with the newly acquired bits. Whenever you want something else and if you think I may have it for sale just send me a PM. Thanks to all members for making 'a foreigner' feel so very welcome. You are ALL superguys !!! I missed Sally too .
Can't wait to attend VAME 5
Mike & Jess (and Frances and mum and dad of course) thanks for having me with you on Sunday too. I had the best time ever . The WWII days are great and I can't wait to watch the many many pictures I took and the 'movie' I shot of the battle-reenactment.
If anyone is interested I can post some pictures of the WWII day but can't post them all because I took so much (400+).
