Hi cruelseawanderer Welcome aboard shipmate Probably not the best time to come back in from the cold . Prices are very high , going through the roof Hopefully looking forward to our VAME meeting (?) that will be best place to buy All the best .. speak soon. von Sturm
Welcome aboard - good luck with the BP era - probably the hardest era to collect from unfortunately. Prices for figures (without an outfit) seem to have gone through the roof as vonsturm has already mentioned.
However, I've found that items you need seem to turn up when you least expect them too!

Hello Spenner, nice to hear from you.
I’m beginning to realise the BPEE figures are both, a, hard to get hold of, and b, expensive to buy these days.
I remember there was a time when I was last collecting, that the BPEE figures turned up everywhere, but almost nobody but the more astute collectors, seemed to want them. It was all about the early ‘66’ to ‘71’ painted head, painted rivet figures, and ceremonials back then.
‘68’ to ‘75’ produced some of the best outfits for AM in my opinion.
I never had any of the post ‘75’ hybrid or dynamic body Eagle Eye figures as a kid, or indeed in any of my previous collections, so I thought it’d be a good place to start off the new collection with something a little different.
I can’t afford ‘new in box’ figures, so I tend to buy ‘bundle lots’ or the best ‘cheap’ figures, outfits and accessories that I can afford, and repair, and restore, them, or hunt down the missing pieces to complete the sets I need. I also like to make custom items from the rubbish, and the bits and pieces left over.
I think I enjoy custom figure ‘ bashes’ as much if not more than the original items, I try to ‘re imagine’ what the original items might be like if produced today.
The thrill of the chase and the exhilaration of finally finding that missing piece never grows old, though it seems like the days of cheap charity shop, and car boot finds have mostly become a thing of the past courtesy of evilbay.
