Airfix 'Yellow Box' HO/OO Poly vehicles

You're right, The Elephant Gun and the (German) Half Track & Gun seem to fetch the highest prices whenever they show up for sale, and yet at the other end of the scale the 155mm SPG struggles to sell for more than a couple of quid most of the time. When I started collecting these I was only looking for the ones I'd had as a lad, which was limited to the more common DUKW, Patton, Centurion, Troop Carrier and the Field Gun & Tractor, I'd always wanted a Landing Craft but never had one. It was only through looking for them that I then became aware of the others, and also the variations in plastic colour (The DUKW, 6x6 Truck, T34 and Landing Craft came in both the Green and Grey plastic). Once I'd found that lot, unfortunately (from a financial point of view) they led me to their forerunners -

 


Some of which I'm still searching for. 

My first DUKW came with x2 canopy/covers in the box obviously an error but at the time I was always trying to find another use for the spare one on other small scale vehicles and even using it as a tent for the 1:76 soldiers.
