Thanks Dave, my recovery is going really well, was a total shock and a big adjustment for my family. I've now got a Stoma and colostomy bag so a big change. My four year old twins took it in their stride and have seen it but my older children and especially my wife are struggling.
I'm in the spare room so have my childhood troops looking after me. Was amazing being reunited with them, seeing dad's fixes, he even carved a lower leg for one of my PH figures out of wood. The bits mum and dad made are great. Sadly my Snow CAT, special operations tent and four BPEE figures didn't turn up and I guess the boxes I had just rotted, but what I've got is amazing.
I'm self employed so will be a bit of a struggle but may try and finish my childhood figures, Storm trooper needs two stick grenades and a Schmiezer, Dak needs two stick grenades, French resistance needs his dagger and medal and my Tommy needs a medal too. When I get back to work I thought about buying an FFL as a reward but think a BPEE basic soldier is more realistic.
Anyway, that's enough of my waffke, better get to sleep!
